Lola the Bereavement Pug, Ilene & Mecca (In Training)
Grief Therapy Pugs
Most people might not expect to see a dog in a funeral home, but there really couldn’t be a better environment for man’s best friend. The healing power of therapy dogs has shown that a few minutes of petting a dog can result in an increase in “feel good” hormones such as serotonin, prolactin and oxytocin. This proves that therapy dogs can offer both emotional and physical comfort to those suffering a loss.
Lola and her pug daughters; Ilene and Mecca are available for your comfort during your visit or services (Please ask your director so one or more can be scheduled to attend)
